After more than six years on the ASW Executive, Shirley and Rick Engstrom are stepping down to enjoy their retirement in style! Thank you for all of your hard work over the years and happy travelling! Send us a postcard!

Rick and Shirley's departure leaves the Executive even more short-handed. If anyone is willing to step up and help out, especially with the upcoming Aquaria Expo fast approaching (April 2nd-4th, 2010), please contact the Exec or let an Exec member know right away! The upcoming elections in June should be very interesting. We'd love your participation, so think about stepping up to run for a position!

Our next meeting is a primer on the upcoming Aquaria Expo. It's a great meeting for everyone to attend, whether you have been to the show before or not. This is the year you should finally put some entries together! Not sure how everything works? Come to the meeting! Have suggestions or comments? Let us know at the meeting!

Christmas is also coming soon - I noticed that Starbucks has their holiday drink lineup out, so I know it's true. We don't have a general meeting in December, but our Christmas party is a definite highlight. If you've never joined us to celebrate, I highly recommend it. The food is excellent, the door prizes and gift swap (Grinch game) are top notch and the company is second to none. Your Exec members are hard at work trying to secure a venue for this year's bash!

Starting with our January meeting, the ASW monthly general meetings will now begin at 1:00pm sharp! Doors will open at 12:15pm.

Any help with setting up tables is always appreciated!

Our next meeting takes place Sunday, November 15th. Your executive and show committee will be chatting about how to show your fish and what to expect at the Aquaria Expo next spring!
